Cost: $79.00 This 2-hour CEU course will highlight and discuss 5 neurological foundations to explain how acupuncture therapy affects the Peripheral & Central Nervous System. We will discuss how chemical mediators are produced from acupuncture therapy and look at the response in modulating the Central Nervous System. This course will show how the proximity of acupuncture points and understanding receptor activation from acupuncture stimulation leads to better treatment strategies. Furthermore, after this course, learners will be able to communicate with western medical providers to help build credibility for more patient referrals. Learning objectives: • Neurochemistry and Neuro-Biology models of acupuncture therapy. • How acupuncture can access and affect the Neuroanatomy of the human body and brain. • Neurophysiology and Neuroplasticity of manual acupuncture and electro-acupuncture to create change in the Central Nervous System.
